Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Sri Lanka. She is an actress, model and actor and model who has worked primarily in the Indian film industry. Her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka Universe title was also won by her. A member of a multiracial clan that includes Canadian, Sri Lankan, and Malaysian heritage, Fernandez spent the early phase of her career in Bahrain. Her education is in mass communications from University of Sydney. She spent a long time as a reporter on TV within Sri Lanka before she entered the world of modelling. After representing her country at Miss Universe 2006, she became one of the top actors in Sri Lanka. As of 2009, on her professional tour to India she was offered the role of Jasmine in the Sujoy Ghosh film 'Aladin'. The role that she landed her first big break came in the year 2011, when she was chosen to play the lead female character Priya in 'Murder 2'. Fernandez enjoyed a successful career in the aftermath of this film which was an absolute success both at the box-office and in the eyes of reviewers. In the following years, she's been in films such as Housefull 2 & 3, "Race 2", "Definition Of Fear" and Judwaa 2. Her work has earned her numerous prizes and has been a brand ambassador for several companies from around the world. A leader in the local community, she is a supporter of several charitable and non-profit organizations.
