Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actress, singer-songwriter, and performer. She is mainly involved in Tamil as well as Malayalam movies. She first made an appearance as an actor in Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah was raised in an Anglo-Indian family at Arakkonam in Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father is a lawyer working at the Madras High Court. Her younger sister is who lives and works at Leuven Belgium as researcher assistant. Jeremiah, who was born in Chennai attended National Public School. He graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was a classical piano lessons at age eight, has been described as being a "geek" and aspired to become a psychiatrist until her 12th grade board exam. When she was 10, she was a part of a group of the Jackson Five called Young Stars which formed the basis of her first musical and singing career. She also worked as an actor in the college. Andrea was President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her acting career with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in the 2006 leo coffee commercial with Shiva. She also acted in a serial which relayed in Podhigai channel. She performed throughout India. She was a part of a short performance in Kanda Mudhal, the 2005 finale. After she rendered a song in Gautham Vasudev Menon's film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiya she was asked to appear as the main female character in his next project Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed, with Andrea as Kalyani a homemaker who's husband is involved in an affair and is targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea was picked for the part after Simran and Tabu both actresses were approached by producers. The film was released in early 2010. She agreed in 2011 to take on a small supporting role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha and it was released in August 2011, Annayum Rasoolum by Rajeev Ravi, the romantic comedy she premiered in Malayalam in, was released on August 11, 2013.
